Grandma's Getting Up Again
You know that feeling when you're nodding off at a family gathering and suddenly jolt awake? Now imagine if Grandma did that, but she's also a clown, and instead of asking if you've eaten, she's threatening to pinch your cheeks clean off your face.
Nana has been snoozing in that corner all evening, hunched over like she's deep in dreamland. The kids think she's just another decoration. They always do. Then she rises up to her full height, mouth opening wide, eyes gleaming with that special brand of grandmotherly menace that only comes from someone who's lived long enough to stop caring about social niceties.
Design & Details
Standing 66 inches tall when fully upright (shorter when she's in her signature hunched-over pose), this animatronic decoration plugs into any standard outlet. Nana stands tall while delivering her phrases, her mouth opening and closing in sync with her words, before settling back into her drowsy state. The whole performance cycle creates an unsettling rhythm: silence, sudden animation, unsettling commentary, then back to snoring.
Her phrases vary 10 to 30 seconds, ranging from sweet to sinister… and often slipping into a snore or two. (Good thing, too, since she seems pretty determined to chase down the tykes and pinch their cheeks right off their faces!) But, just as suddenly as she woke up, she's snoring again, hunching back down into her nap. Multiple phrases keep things unpredictable. Is she sleeping? Is she plotting? We're betting on both!
